Philip is a people-focused and result-oriented leader with over twelve years of experience in SME Banking. He was appointed CEO of OmniBank in January 2013, and has since led the transformation of the company into a strong reliable brand, with visible employee-focused development. His broad areas of expertise include strategy formulation, business planning and development, risk management and institution building. He has played key roles in building successful SMEs in Ghana through various platforms over the last decade. During this period, he has achieved consistent growth, profitability and industry leadership for the organizations he has led. Prior to joining OmniBank, Philip held several positions including Deputy Managing Director of ProCredit Ghana, and an audit board member of ProCredit Bank, D.R. Congo. Mr. Oti-Mensah holds a B.Sc - Banking and Finance and MBA - Project Management from the University of Ghana Business School. He also holds a ProCredit Banker Certificate (MBA Equivalent) in International Bank Management from ProCredit Academy (Germany). He is also a Certified International Change Manager and a member of the International Academy of Business and Financial Management. Due to his virtues of Honesty, Integrity and Accountability, he was awarded a Certificate of Membership to the West African Nobles Forum in 2014.
Kwadwo is a qualified accountant (FCCA) with more than 10 years post qualification experience.
Kwadwo has knowledge and practice of Universal banking garnered from experiences within the banking industry.
He started his career as a finance officer at GLICO for 2 years and and later joined Ecobank as Finance Manager for 9 years prior to joining OmniBank as the Finance Manager in 2016.
During his working career at Ecobank, he worked in various departments of the bank including Operations, Corporate Banking and the Finance Department. His area of expertise is in Financial and Management reporting, Business Performance and Strategy.
A product of the Oxford Brooks University, UK (Bsc.) BSc Accounting, he has also attended several professional executive courses.
Dominic has over 15 years of experience in Business Development and Risk Management in the banking and non-bank financial sector. His specific area of expertise are in IT led policy and process development, employee capacity building and product development. Domnic worked at Unibank in various positions including Head of Monitoring and Recoveries, Corporate Relationship Manager and Head of Small Business Unit. He later joined ProCredit as Head of Credit and later as Head of the Risk Management Division. He holds a Bsc. Degree in Accounting from the University of Ghana Business School and a ProCredit Banker Certificate (MBA equivalent) in Management from ProCredit Academy (Germany).
Michael Awortwe has 10 years experience in Treasury and Investment Banking. He started professional banking career at Bank of Baroda as a Treasury Officer and moved to Access Bank Ghana limited as unit head for Treasury Operations. He later joined First Atlantic brokers as a licensed dealer on the capital market dealing on the Ghana stock Exchange for First Atlantic Brokers (The Investment Banking Subsidiary of the First Atlantic Bank). He is currently the Head of Treasury for OmniBank (Ghana) Limited responsible for the asset and liability (ALM) management of the Bank in ensuring strong Liquidity and solvency positions of the Bank. He is an alumnus of the University of Cape Coast (B.com Honors) and an MBA finance student at University of Ghana Business School. He also holds certification in ALM and Balance sheet management from Ghana Banking College and a licensed investment advisor certified by securities and Exchange commission (SEC).
Stephen is an accounting, banking and finance professional with over 12 years experience in Accountancy, Audit Finance and Banking. He worked as the Regional Accountant with Community Water and Sanitation (CWSA) and was responsible for budgets and procurement planning, financial reporting and internal control. He also worked at AT- Ernest Dawlah, an Accounting and Management Consultancy firm, where he rose through the ranks to become Audit supervisor. He joined OmniBank from NDK Financial Services where he worked for seven years in various management roles. Prior to joining OmniBank, he was the Head of Credit Department. Stephen brings to OmniBank vast experience in risk management, audit and operational control, strong understanding of the credit cycle, including capacity in structured, persistent and robust loan recovery which is key in the banking services sector in Ghana. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science (Bsc) in Administration (Accounting) from the University of Ghana Business School and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIB), Ghana.
Samuel Osew-Kwatia is currently the Head of Operations with supervisory functions over bank wide Branch Service, Domestic and Central Operation, Trade Services, Card and Channel Support and Information Technology. He possesses over 13 years professional experience in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Audit & Assurance and Taxation. Prior to joining OmniBank, he was a key management member at FBNBank Ghana Limited where he held several key positions
i.e Group Head Retail Banking, Group Head Corporate Banking and Group Head Operations. He also worked at BEIGE Capital as the Chief Operating Officer. Samuel has also occupied various managerial positions at Intercontinental Bank Ghana Limited, Access Bank Ghana limited and Fidelity Bank Ghana. He has occupied leadership roles in Bank Audit, Banking Operations, Corporate, Commercial and Retail Banking. As a marketing and relationship manager, he was responsible for the management of the following key businesses; Volta River Authority (VRA, Electricity Corporation of Ghana, National Health Insurance– Public Sector, Engineers and Planners Limited, Jelcem Ghana (JEL), Mansell Ghana Limited, Edinpaco, Embalink He commenced his career at Ernst & Young Ghana in 2003 as a professional audit staff. He rose consistently and progressed to an Assistant Managerial grade before exiting the firm after four (4) years. Whiles at EY he worked as a transactional advisor and tax consultant. He managed clients such as British Telecom Ghana, St. Lambert Drilling now Bly Ghana, Cereal Investment Company, Alcatel CIT and Alcatel Shanghai. He was involved in setting up the accounting system of Mistui OSK lines, a shipping company in Ghana. In taxation he consulted for GE Electric-Ghana, Stanbic Ghana, and South Africa Airlines, Orsam Ghana. He graduated from the University of Cape Coast with a First Class Degree in Bachelor of Commerce and also holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the Mountcrest University College. He is a Chartered Accountant with the ICA- Ghana and with other qualifications. He also has experience in Corporate Finance, Mining Oil and Gas and Public Sector Financing. He has also been part of several trainings including corporate governance, project financing with specific emphasis on financing deals in Mining, Upstream, Mid-Stream and Downstream Oil & Gas Sector facilitated by EUROMONEY.
Ebow is a proactive and seasoned business executive with over eighteen (18) years of Consumer, Retail & Corporate Banking, Strategic Marketing, Trade, Management Development, Customer Relations, Sales and Operations experience in financial services. As a proven and consummate business professional, Ebow boasts of vast experience under various managerial positions in the banking sector. Commencing his career as a customer service officer in Standard Chartered Bank, he rose through the ranks to Associate Director (Local Corporate, Corporate Banking), where he managed embassies, international NGOs in addition to local corporate names. He later joined First Atlantic Bank where he occupied the position of Group Head (Retail Banking), responsible for branch business growth, Remittances as well as Private Banking. A product of St. Augustine’s College and an alumnus of the University of Ghana, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Economics & Political Science) and Executive Master’s Degree in Business Administration (EMBA, Marketing) from the University of Ghana Business School. He is also an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) and also has certification from ICMQ- Securities Institute of London. Meanwhile, Ebow has benefited from numerous training engagements both locally and internationally to enhance his knowledge in the banking sector. These include South Korea, Channel Islands, Singapore, South Africa, Turkey, Zambia & Kenya.
Anne Marie Appiah is the Head of Corporate and Group Banking; a role she assumed in June 2017. Anne Marie’s banking experience in the Corporate Banking Landscape spans over 10 years in various capacities at FBN Ghana, Merchant Bank (now Universal Merchant Bank) and Zenith Bank. She has a good understanding and knowledge of the Ghanaian market, with demonstrable and strong orientation, high standards of excellence, good track record of customer relationship management and experience in portfolio management. She is highly innovative and results-oriented, with superior business management and leadership skills. Prior to joining OmniBank, she held the position of Group Head (Corporate Banking) responsible for leading a team to grow the bank’s business lines. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Ghana and a Master of Business Administration Degree in General Management (Delta International University of New Orleans) with extensive training in Relationship Management, Credit Risk Analysis, Enterprise Risks, Accounting and Finance, International Trade Finance and Operations. Anne Marie is married with 2 children.
Stephen Takyi Adeakye is a seasoned Human Resource Management Practitioner with over 17 years of experience in the Manufacturing and Finance Industries. Before joining OmniBank, he worked with UMB as the Director of Human Resources, Human Resources Business Partner at Nestle Ghana Limited, Head of Human Capital at Intercontinental Bank and Head of Human Resources at Pepsi Cola Ghana Limited (SBC Beverages). Stephen holds an MBA in Human Resources Management and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy, all from the University of Ghana. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Human Resource Practitioners. Stephen’s area of expertise range from Human Resources Policy Development, Outsourcing, Employee/Industrial Relations, Collective Agreement Negotiations, Performance Management and Training and Development among others. He has also helped a lot of indigenous organizations set up Human Resources Departments.
